—This Thorough-Bred Racehorse will Stand to Cover at Peter Brady’s, Mintaro, Upper Wakefield. Jersey won the Town Plate at Adelaide in 1849, beating Gift, Brenda, and others. Pedigree—Jersey out of an Arab mare by Jersey; Jersey got by Buzzard, out of Cobweb; Cobweb was got by Phantom, winner of the Derby, out of Web, sister to Whalebone, both winners of the Derby; Buzzard by Blackleg, sire of Velocipede; Cobweb is the dam of Bay Middleton, winner of the Derby, and she won the Oaks; neither Cobweb nor Bay Middleton was ever beaten.
