Pedigree—Jersey out of an Arab mare by Jersey; Jersey got by Buzzard, out of Cobweb; Cobweb was got by Phantom, winner of the Derby, out of Web, sister to Whalebone, both winners of the Derby; Buzzard by Blackleg, sire of Velocipede; Cobweb is the dam of Bay Middleton, winner of the Derby, and she won the Oaks; neither Cobweb nor Bay Middleton was ever beaten.
