Primitive Methodist Chapel

Mintaro. — A correspondent says:— ‘On Sunday, December 23 the opening services of the Primitive Methodist Chapel at Mintaro were celebrated. Three excellent sermons were preached to good congregations by the Rev. T. Braithwaite. On the following Tuesday (Christmas Day) a public tea meeting took place, no leas than 150 persons being present. After tea a public meeting was held—Mr. Jessup in the chair. Interesting addresses were delivered by the Rev. T. Braithwaite, Messrs. Green, R. Dale, Hancock, Kinsey, and Pearce. During the services the choir sang a variety of sacred pieces, which added greatly to the interest of the occasion. The proceeds of both services amounted to £40; donations, £30; laying the foundation-stone service, £10; making a total of £80.’
