Northern Agricultural Society visit by His Excellency

THE NORTHERN AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY
VISIT OF HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVENOR-IN-CHIEF.
The second exhibition of grain, dairy produce, fruits, &c., under the auspices of the Society, was held in Mintaro, on Thursday, 24th February, in a large marquee, 60 x 20, which had been erected on a suitable site in the middle of the township. There was also a large refreshment booth on the ground, under the superintendence of the Wesleyan Society, and which, by the permission of its managers, was thrown open to the public visiting the show—dinners, lunches, and refreshments of every kind (excepting intoxicating liquors) being supplied at mode rate charges. His Excellency the Governor, having notified his intention of visting (sic) the show, left Adelaide by the early train on Wednesday morning, and on arrival at Gawler at about 9 ‘o’clock drove to Riverton, where he arrived in the afternoon, and remained that might (sic) the guest of Mr. Masters, J.P., of Saddleworth
