Mintaro, November 1879

MINTARO, NOVEMBER 26.
The popular service of song,” Jessica’s First Prayer,” was given in the Primitive Methodist Church last evening, and a more thorough treat the people here have not had for a long time past. The readings were given by the Rev. J. H. Williams. The songs were sung by about fifteen voices, Miss Fry presiding at the harmonium. The object of the service was to provide funds for the reduction of the debt on the harmonium. The attendance was good, and the proceeds satisfactory.
