Mintaro and Burra Road

MINTARO AND BURRA-ROAD.
The Stanley District Council wrote, asking that the money set apart for repairing the road from Mintaro to the Burra might be at once expended, the road being in a very bad state, especially between Mintaro and Walkey Creek. The Board replied that all the money appropriated for the piece of road between Mintaro and Walkey Creek had been expended; but that they had some funds for repairing the other portion of the Burra-road, which would be laid out as early as convenient.

This small, thoroughly charming, largely untouched historic town features some of the most significant and captivating 19th century buildings & ruins in South Australia.

The Mintaro Progress Association Incorporated acknowledges the Ngadjuri people as the Traditional Owners of the Country where Mintaro is situated today, and pays its respect to Elders past and present.
