COUNTRY CORRESPONDENCE.
MINTARO, October 19.
A memorial has been numerously signed, requesting the Government for a Local Court to be established here—a thing much needed, as it is a great inconvenience to parties to go to Auburn, a distance of nine miles.
The crops in this district are looking splendid at present. There is no complaint of red rust, and believe the quantity and quality of the wheat will be fully as good as last year.
Hooping-cough is very prevalent. Great numbers of children are very ill with it.
