Clare’s Decentralised Electricity System

Clare’s Decentralised Electricity System
CLARE, December 12.
The Mid-Northern areas, comprising Clare, Watervale, Auburn, Saddleworth, Riverton, Eudunda, and Mintaro, are not at present perturbed about the coal strike on account of a decentralised electricity system, operating independently of the main supply company. All works, services, lighting in homes, business, and on farms, continue as usual. The only present slight difficulty being experienced is a reduced rail service affecting mail and unessential goods. This may lead to some discomfort over the Christmas period, but will be of a minor nature compared with the city people’s worries.
