Women in Agriculture Forum – Women Can Do! Forum
This forum will be celebrating women working in agriculture. Empowering women by showcasing what women are doing in agriculture, the challenges they face, professional and personal skills development and the collaborative journey travelled.
The forum will commence at with a light luncheon featuring lamb prepared by Vicky Tolotta. Guest speakers include Ali Paulett, Paulett Wines the 2023 Rural Woman of the Year, Bron Stedall, Pinon Advisory, Strong Foundations-Expanding your EQ for greater connection, communication and confidence and Rebecca Townsend, Australian Super – Demystified Superannuation for Women 45+

Festival Launch and Dinner
Keynote speakers featuring local lamb producers Martindale Farm and visiting guest Chefs Judyta Slupnicki (Polish) and Vicky Tolotta (Türkiye Hunkar Begendi – Sultan’s Delight) with hand crafted, estate grown wines by Reillys wines. Speakers are Jane Kellock Chair of the South Australian Sheep and Beef Blueprints, and Brendan Kluska and Pat Dawson from the Polish Society to provide information on the Polish migrants influence on the Clare Valley.

Mintaro Institute Poetry Ballads Sing-along and Dinner
The Mintaro Institute has been the centre of the town’s social and cultural activity ever since the foundation stone was laid on 4 February 1878. The Mintaro Bush Poetry / Ballads / Sing-along and Community Dinner will be a night of storytelling, bush poetry and music.
Bring along a plate of food and a poem to share with others. Enjoy the Mintaro and Muleteer lamb sausages which are produced every September for the Clare Valley Festival of the Lamb, plus a glass or 2 of Mintaro Wines. Local performer Richard Mintern will be there with some bush inspired songs along with a performance by members of the Adelaide Plains Male Voice Choir plus Peter Houldsworth from Mintaro Wines will recite some Australian classics and there is an open mic for others to provide bush inspired poetry.

Fundraiser Lunch
Join Vicky Tolotta from Nar Delights a Turkish with a Twist Caterer for Türkiye. Lamb meatball rolls with onion salad. All profits to be donated towards ‘Topraktan Tabaga’ chefs who cook for Türkiye – Syria earthquake victims.

Local artisans will be running workshops including granny square crochet, knitted socks and weaving for beginners. There are limited numbers for each session and varying costs and requirements.

The Polish Hill River Church Museum has been established by the South Australian Polish community in order to document and commemorate the contribution of Polish migrants to the development of the State. In 1980 the Polish Hill River Church Museum was placed on the register of State Heritage Items.
